Looks to be in pretty good shape with case. Knobs look as though they may have been changed along with the toggle switch cap and maybe the tunning pegs (can't tell from the picture). Starting bid at $299.00 US is very low.

Here is an absolutely beautiful Rainbow I, also in the US, BIN only for $600. Looks to be all original (not sure about the knobs?), in perfect shape, and comes with a Gibson hardshell case.

i was lucky enough to hold one of those black rainbows in my hands recently and from what i can tell it's definitely a different bridge on this one...the knobs seem to be the same und the switch was black on the one i saw...

BIN only for $600

is that the "normal" price for a rainbow 1 in the usa these days? seems a little bit high to me...(also if it is still a reasonable price for such a nice and well built instrument...

Rainbows and Sessions both typically go rather high, so this is probably an okay price.

I paid around $400 OR $450 USD for my Rainbow I and $800 USD for my Session II in the US. That bridge had me tricked on that black Rainbow, I looked pretty close and still didn't see thyt it was changed. Good eye everyone for noticing the bridge was swapped.

I always wondered if it would fit in a Gibson case - my Rainbow II didn't come with one. This one is pretty!

It'll fit in a Gibson 335 case but you'll have about an inch of spacing on either side of the body. The Rainbows I and II are narrower...but not the older Rainbow I (like the $600 bin model on ebay right now) ...this older model is as wide as a Gibson.
