But will people come to see.....if the player is just a fool, it won't last long...last time I checked...places usually don't like musicians who suck..it kinda cuts into their revenue

I suppose I just wasn't aware that on the totem pole of music, that soundtrack work could be lower than playing live.
As a classically trained musician, I can only dream of writing a soundtrack. Any fool can get on stage (and I have!).

Oh yea, I get it. That fool comment was meant to be self deprecating, not a comment on the bar scene Smile You're right - bar owners want people to show up and buy lots of food and drinks. If you suck, you scare money away.
That must be why I didn't get invited back...!
