I always found it amusing that a country would have "The" as part of its name. I only just realized that the USA does as well.

Canadians are in a strange cultural pocket, neither Amercian nor European but with historical influences from both. And these days we're now also bombarded by the rest of the world! Identity crisis? What identity crisis?

Re: EURO -THINGS THAT AMERICANS DON'T UNDERSTAND.........
I'm going to be really well behaved on this topic. I've been booked onto an "equality and diversity" course at work so I shall be a model of political correctness from now on (this will mean bugger all except to UK members, especially those unfortunate enough to work in the public sector)

In Australia, of course, we have no correct politicians to speak of.

"the intellectually challenged are realizing their potential for self governance in their habitat."

Re: EURO -THINGS THAT AMERICANS DON'T UNDERSTAND.........
A long while ago, while working in the US, a colleague of mine asked the secretary, in an open plan office, if she had a rubber. Some staring and jaw dropping from the locals, red faces all round.
Again in a bar in the US a British colleague said he could murder an Indian, caused a fair bit of mayhem.
Whats the similarity between sex in a canoe and US beer...
theyre both f...ing close to water. boom boom.

What is it with US beer anyway?
And I don't get "lite beer" either!
Anything less than 5% is just barely flavoured H2O. Gotta be red or dark to have both taste and kick!
Barkeep! A round of real beer fer me and my Westie crew here!
Put it on Corsair's tab.
