Super Headless in Light colored Birdseye

Post  heenez on Tue Aug 18, 2009 7:32 pm

This is my 1986 matsu Super Headless. I am wondering if anyone has , or has seen one in this
light colored finish, cos I've never seen one but my own.
If you do please post a picture, just curious if my old bass has a brother or sister:)

Hello Heenez and Welcome! Smile

Wow! That is beautiful!

In answer to your question, I am almost 100% certain that someone in here does own one like yours - I do remember seeing that beautiful wood but I'm not sure if it was a Super Headless or not. One of the chaps will enlighten you though!

Welcome again and we hope to hear a lot more from you in the future.

Hey Thanx :)

Thank you Pollyanna for the reply

well I can shed some light on the earlier sighting you mention: It was probably the same bass.
I posted it here round 2-3 years ago with the same question, but by now I cant find my old article nomore
and I apparently forgot my old user name and cant find the old mail in in my mailboxes anywhere
and also didnt come across my possible old name in the memberlist, so I made a new account:)
Bit of a hassle lol.

Anyway good to be "back" .

Cheers.

Aha! Idea

I think I have the answer to your obvious mysterious disappearance there Heenez... I think the posts were on the old forums at Westone.info and that is why you can't find them!

Well, let's hope some of the chaps can enlighten you regarding your guitar, she's certainly a real eye catcher! Well done mate!
cheers

Thanx for clearing that up:)
That must be the case, cos -shame on me!- I didnt visit the forum for a long time , I wasnt aware of
the forum change, I just found this (apparently new) forum google-wise.

Thanks again Smile

edit: I went to westone.info indeed at first, but couldnt find the forum.
Now I know I am not retarded yet for it obviously wasnt there anymore anyway!

I know this is a slightly old thread, but I was hunting for info about my own bass and came across it! Smile

I can't see a pic of the bass in question, but does it look like this one?

Absolutely gorgeous!
Is it just the light refraction making it look yellow-ish? I'm assuming she's finished in a natural (clear) coating??

Hi Barry Smile

That's the colour! It's almost a picalilli yellow. The close-up of the controls is the most accurate for the colour.

Hi all, not been around for a while, I own a very similar Superheadless (mine is still in project condition Sad), I notice this one also has the truss rod adjustment at the headless end, this is the first one I have seen like mine, I think mine used to be a red with black centre stripe version, will post pictures soon,
