I know, very tempting. But if I'm blowing my GAS money on a Thunder II, it's gonna be on a Thunder IIa. That blue is pretty though.

The Thunder II is a lot better imo. PEQ controls, phase switch. PEQ turning the pups from series/parallel.
User friendly(lol) with less fiddly switching.

I've both (blue) Know which one I prefer.

That looks a crackin' guitar in very good nick.

I just sold one to a guy in Rhode Island, thats not the same one though. Shipped from UK to him in 2 days. Quicker than domestic over here.

I had a IIA in this color. It's a nice guitar - small, light, easy to play. Honestly, the active electronics are not all that useful with modern amps IMHO. But I don't find the PEQ system that useful either. So if you like it, get it!

Im with you guys on that. The A bit just gets in the way so I would rate this version as better.

The Thunder IIA doesn't have PEQ controls. Just an active tone boost. Don't like it also, to brittle.

I was referring to the 'non-A' version that probably does have PEQ.

Personally I like the PEQ's.
Can have 1 pup in series, 1 in parallel, phase on/off. Either the neck or bridge switched series/paralell.
3 distinctive sounds at the flick of a 3 way switch. Smile
Nice scale as well. Nice guitar.
But I don't need another one.
