however my missus is due a junior guitarist in 23 days so if I buy a guitar now I may need to also find a new house to keep it in

Yeah, saw that. Advertised as a bass but that's definitely a 6 string in the picture and it has no strings.
Spectrums are not my cuppa' though. Don't like the 25 1/2" scale on a Spectrum body, for that it's a Strat, just feels comfy. Sorry guys.
Anyone interested and they wont ship, it's just around the corner. I'll post on.
