That one's for you, Ice!!! Did I ever say how much I really like mine? That one looks like it sat around for 25 years like mine did. That's the great thing about wacky guitars. People bought them that didn't play guitar, with dreams of learning on them. Then they lost heart and packed them away for years, like a beautiful 6 stringed time capsule... until present day when we buy them for cheap!!!

Fired off an email asking if he was willing to sell only the axe, case and whammy (seriously, who parts out the trem bar from the guitar in a sale??). If he is amendable, whaddya suppose is reasonable to offer??

If it's in excellent condition, without the corners and pointy head banged up, then he probably wants around $300 based on the new ones he sees at the big box stores (like the cheap Jackson V's and such ilk, which are around that price). That's if he's an informed seller. If it's in excellent condition and he knows what he has, then he'll want $350 or more based on recent EvilBay outcomes. Remember that you're going to have to pay shipping, which'll run ya anywhere from $30 to $60 most likely, so offer him $240 just to see what he says. He'll probably try to run the price up. And you'll probably have to follow up with him. Since he's one of those "make me an offer" kind of guys, he may sit on his offers in hopes to get more. So bug him about it. If you're looking to get a near mint old Westie, you'll have to spring quick when you find one as you don't find them very often at all, buy you already know that! Be sure to get close up pics first, especially of the pointy head and body. If it's banged up, but not too badly, offer him $200. Happy hunting Ice!
