Would it kill sellers to clean the bloody guitar before offering it up for sale?
This poor baby needs a bit o' work to make it right again, but I can't tell if those are actual cracks or deep scratches, structural or cosmetic. I'm guessing finish cracks but they do look nasty!

According to Thorn, yes, it is and he'd know!! He says too, that the red finish on these guitars is prone to peeling back so maybe that's what's happening here... but I doubt it; they look fairly substantial!!

I've got one of these I'm rebuilding (still!) and the cracks are definitely into the wood, best guess is the timber wasn't dried properly before it was used.
My guitar body has warped slightly and some of the cracks appear to have shrunk and pulled apart!
