Oooh, one of the oddballs.... in blue!!! Yummy....

ConcordST I assume you've been here...

http://www.westone.info/indexguitars.html

... because I cannot find a Concord ST anywhere; it's a new one on me!! It's very very much like a Spectrum ST in layout but they were only available in red, white and black! Do you know what pickups are in there??

Now, I have to say that the strings seem to be wound onto the wrong side of the tuning post; the way they are now will cause string bind in the nut slots because the strings are not straight in line with the post; that's why the wee string retainer is at an angle... it's trying to do its job at an angle when it was designed to work in a straight line. I hope I haven't offended you by offering unasked for advice....

Hello and welcome Concord. Yep, that's an unusually branded Westie alright. The name "Concord" was eventually moved to a separate and completely different model line after what appears to be a brief association with the "Spectrum" design.

The blue colour is unusual too; I think we've seen a couple of Spectrum Concords recently on the forum, but in white. Give her a good clean up and polish and she'll be golden! And yes, John's right, the strings need to be wound counter-clockwise on the posts to maintain a straight line and reduce the unnecessary strain on the strings and nut slots. Cool

You have it backwards, Barry. The Concord came before the Spectrum and was discontinued when the Spectrum came along. They seem to have branded Spectrums as Concords until they settled on the new name.
