Series 10?

I'm looking at a local Craigslist ad for a Series 10. I've owned one and it was utter junk and I've asked around to other guitarist and they seem to echo the say feeling. But the price on this guitar is so cheap, I think it has potential! But...what is it? Anyone help me out?
