this is a sad thing to see my friend, i once had 2 guitars stolen from me to, 1 was my brand new 1st ever new guitar, my BC Rich Warlock, only had it for like a month, and the other was a late 60's National SG copy, both gone, and never found, i feel your pain. luckily my Warlock was bought on a credit card, and was insured, got a new one. i really wish you the best man, hope you find them, and kick the dickhead in the nuts for stealing them, thats what id do.

Well Guitar George, you might know all the chords... now you just need to learn who some of the members are here on the forum. Smile

A very good deed you have done in alerting us to a possible lead, but that guitar auction you linked belongs to a member in good standing here (BrainFertilizer) and I highly doubt he is the culprit.

Kudos again however for your intentions. It's very reassuring to know there are more Good Sams out there. cheers

That link actually is to a guitar whose current owner is in la-la land about it's value.

He is located here in Minnesota and I have attempted to have deals done with him in the past. He has been rather inflexible on offers and compromise given the condition of what he sells, at least with me. This guitar (as well as a Genesis I) have been up on ebay for many, many months and he just keeps relisting every 30 days but his prices are still about the same.

More time than money, I guess...

oh ok....

Post  GtrGeorge! on Sat Mar 24, 2012 4:26 am

oh ok...I get it.
Another guy who LOOKS at guitars, but doesn't play them. Oh well. Ive never understood that. But,ok it is his.....so thats the way it is. I saw a RedWestone Pantera go today for about 250...I lost it in the last 45 secs on ebay...but there was no return policy and it wasnt my color etc etc....I fee if Im gonna plunk down the cash its really should be exactly what I want. I dont want to modify things and repaint them etc...

I always smile a little when I see these auctions that still include "NO RETURNS" in the listing description. Each and every seller is now required by ebay to accept returns if initiated by the buyer, else the new money back guarantee that ebay touts would be worthless.

Hope you find your Pantera, GG... they are nice, nice, nice !

Iceman,
my problem is and its a good problem to have!!!) is that I love my white Pantera so much I don't want to take it to gigs..hence, looking for a 24fret Pantera backup....Did I mention I like H-S-S config.

Pics or it's all in your head. That's right, I'm calling your bluff... Laughing

If your'e looking for another 24 fret Pantera I wish you the very best of luck. x350, x390 or any of the 3 Rabin Signature models are your only choices there, and they can be a slippery cat to corner.

Post  GtrGeorge! on Sun Mar 25, 2012 12:59 am

Iceman,
I thought I would need to get some pics up here eventually. I will. I am not sure how easy that is to do at this forum, but I will.
I am still trying to find out more about my TRS (Trevor Rabin Signature) guitar. So maybe it will jog some memories (Tom Presly..you watching this thread??? I hope so.) Or anyone else who has a TR guitar. To be clear, my headstock reads Alvarez, but I consider it a Westone..is that acceptable etiquette around here?
So stay tuned..I will post em as soon as I can. It may takes a few days.

Start a new thread in the Members section when you do, but most likely you have an AER version of one of these then...

http://www.westoneguitars.net/guitars/pantera-series/pantera-trevor-rabin-signature-models/

A few here have them as well. The Alvarez is the continuation of the line after Westone was dropped by SLM as a brand here in the USA.

My Westone

Post  GtrGeorge! on Sun Mar 25, 2012 3:47 am

My Trevor Rabin Signature Guitar, which I am humbled to own.
If know of another guitar like it, let me know..Id really like to have a backup. This is one special guitar, for obvious reasons. Like I said, I am humbled to own and play this guitar.

You can't upload pix until you reach a certain post count, and I haven't yet tracked that bit of the controls down, so either wait until you've reached that post count - and I don't even know what it is!!- or just post a link TP your online photo albums.
