STOLEN WESTONES!!
Some piece of poop broke into my house today and stole my precious
Prestige 250 and Corsair GT!! I have everyone around my area looking
out, but i was hoping to ask if anyone here happens to notice one of
these two guitars on ebay, craiglist, or the like, to please email me
at tfbrookes@gmail.com
If
i dont find them, ill be selling the remainder of my Westones,
including the Dimension IV, Prairie, etc.. i wont be able to even look
at them..
Life sucks...

Re: STOLEN WESTONES!!
Very bad news. I don't suppose you happen to have any pictures of them to help us identify them if they show up? If not, then a description - colour, any stand out features such as unusual knobs or straplocks etc. would be helpful. Also, where abouts you are in the world (just roughly if you don't want to be too specific)
Best of luck, hope you get them back.

Re: STOLEN WESTONES!!
Unfortunately, i do not know the serial numbers, but i can definitely ID them scratch for scratch. I know my babies inside out.. I am from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Again, i have many people, legit and otherwise, searching for them. I dont know if anyone here can do anything, but all i ask is for anyone to keep an eye out on any adds posted on kijiji, ebay, craigslist, ect.. and notify me asap..
I cant seem to upload any pictures... Ill email them to the webmaster here, and hopefully he or she will post them here.
I feel like garbage...

Cmin is one of my best buds. He serviced the 250 and brought it back home two days prior to its theft..

Re: STOLEN WESTONES!!
Word around the neighborhood is that there is a rash of break ins happening around Halifax, concentrating on electronics and musical instruments. There have been 6 official complaints issued to the police, and more in the form of bulletins on telephone polls, kijiji/craiglist postings, etc. At first, I was out for blood, thinking it was someone i might have known, but in light of this new evidence, its highly unlikely that they will wind up in a pawn shop. There most likely is a stash house somewhere, meaning eventually the loot would be shipped out of the city to be fenced, in which case it would be completely gone.
I have friends in the police force helping me out, and some people in low places looking to the streets as well. What tears me up is that i know nothing will be able to replace these guitars, and i will not be able to face the remaining westones.. not to mention the fact of finding a new guitar that fits right, and attempting to start over..
Im sorry for the sob story, and ill be sucking it up after this post. Something I identify with has been taken from me, and i am trying to deal with accepting the fact that its gone..

Re: STOLEN WESTONES!!
Sorry to hear of your loss Voice, hope you get them back.
I'm going to take this as a wakeup call to record the serial numbers of my guitars as well as taking photos of them.

Re: STOLEN WESTONES!!
No apologies needed The Voice; you've had your home invaded and something meaningful to you taken away. There many among us who'd go on a rampage and there would be blood in the streets if happened to us.
Since it sounds like a quick 'n' dirty "gang" doing the work, it's a safe to assume that they're also cheap bastards and these will eventually surface on CL or Kijiji. If they're at all organized they'll try and flog these in the big market areas, not in your town. All we can do for you is keep an eye out for these if they appear to surface in the greater Toronto or Montreal area.
Frenchy should be aware by now but drop him a PM just in case, and direct him to your posts. He's always searching and if they show up in his city I'm sure he'll spot them! I'll do likewise for the GTA. Maybe a shout out to anerobe (Ian) in Winnipeg, and anyone else on the "Left Coast" just in case these guys are well organized and move their stuff wa-a-ay outa town.

Re: STOLEN WESTONES!!
Much appreciated man. Yeah, i figure they would be hocked out of the area, but ive spoken to the cops just an hour ago, and there have been more break ins today with more instruments missing, and there are reports of guitars going into pawn shops...
so it may be local, but it could just be some people bringing in their own guitars. Either way, the cops have alerted the pawnshops owners, so i bet you any money that if the shops are wise to there being stolen guitars pawned off in the city, they will keep it hidden in the back for a while until the heat goes away...
Let me know if you need any more info..

Re: STOLEN WESTONES!!
Hey there Voice!
I'll be keeping an eye out for them in Quebec and Montreal region.. them my hunting grounds.... Sorry to hear about your instruments, sounds like a local thing to me and you might get lucky. Dont lose faith, they have to show up somewhere.
Every one should have pictures and serial #
one in a safe place on a back up cd/DVD
and one offsite (someone you know that does not live with you)
It's very handy....
Again, will keep my eyes open for these. Not many Westones in these parts to begin with, these will stand out.

Re: STOLEN WESTONES!!
You are right about them standing out. I found them for sale on a local forum, and buddy saw my stolen westones add there and flipped them before the cops could do anything. I did get a name, picture, and the IP on which he posted the ad, but its all worth nothing unless we can put the stolen gear in his possession.
To hell with cops, its vigilantly time..

Re: STOLEN WESTONES!!
It's a start at least, but it may be time to break out a cricket bat with a breezeblock nailed to it and deal out some proper justice...
Re: STOLEN WESTONES!!
Did you post on the forum that they were stolen? The buyer(s) might come forward and help out.
