WESTONE THUNDER 1A PROJECT - £50 Current Bid.

A few problems with this one, the first one is the missing brass knob (the active one, poop!). A bigger problem is the active circuit, it's should be on the inside of the backplate but it's missing from the pics and the seller says that someone got halfway through bypassing the active side of the electrics!!!

Could be the basis of a good guitar, just got to decide if you want to rebuild it as an active or go with passive only?

I once toyed with the idea of changing the pups in my 1a. Looked like a nightmare. If the active gubbins have been ripped out, I say "Go passive!"
As it goes, I only ever use mine in passive mode. I think it sounds better. Funny, there was a time when I only liked it in active mode...
