Yep, another Trevor Rabin fan here looking to see what these great guitars are all about. Doesn't need to be mint but does need to be fully functioning and play well without any serious repairs done or needed. Thanks!! JC

welcome here, fella - and I've gotta say you may be whistling in the dark as those who've got 'em generally hang onto 'em, eh!! Still and all, keep an eye on the for sale threads in here and on eBay; they do turn up from time to time.

I can't tell you what they're like as I don't have one but the word is they play like butter - like all Matsumokus!! - and have lovely tones, so maybe one of the guys with one will put a little precis up here for us all to enjoy?!?!

Check out the 'For Sale' forum because the chaps here are pretty eagle-eyed and will post info on most Westones that come up for sale... nothing much gets past these guys, they are a great bunch!

Thanks for the advice and warm welcome. I kinda figured that this search will not be any easy one, but that just reinforces what I thought, the Pantera is a great guitar! I'm not so desperate to find one instantly as I do have some other great guitars, but I do love the thrill of the search too. I'm also a Rik Emmett fan so I'm also looking for a Framus Akkerman, THAT is REALLY a chore; which makes my quest for the X390 CB not seem impossible. Thanks again and I'll keep checking some of the other sections of the forum!

If these guitars still have their truss rod covers then that's where you will find the model number.

i've been meaning to assemble the group of westones/electras for some time - need to take some pics before i sell any, will do soon and post some pics here and elsewhere, i have asked b-4 but still looking, where do i go to I.D. and date all my axes, electra seems to be covered, westone is another story however, anyhelp would be greatly appreciated, thx -

OK, i took some pictures and need help posting them for all to see (38 westy's +electras combined) - it must be said i am missing two of mty westy spectrums, anyway, what is the best way to show everyone that would like to see them?

That's a very common question here. The easiest way to do it is to sign up with a free hosting site like Photobucket and create an "album". Mousing over an image will then give you a number of code options. Copy the one for IMG and paste it into your post.

The only restriction is that this forum can display a maximum size of 800x600. If your picture is larger then choose the THUMBNAIL code instead which places a small hyperinked thumbnail version of the big picture. Clicking on it will display the original in the host site's web instead.
