Does anyone have any details on the OFC pickups that are in some of the higher panteras?
Just curious about the advantages/disadvantages of oxygen free copper pickups.
I see some of the Pantera owner posts on the forum where they have replaced the orginals with their prefered PUP of choice.
Can anyone shed some light on the sounds, styles and preferable some examples of what these rare PUPS sound like?

Were Commodore guitars made by Mat?

There was a link or a thread some while back to a definitive? list of guitars / brands that were crafted by Mat that I now cant find! Can anyone provide that link please.

A friend of mine has just bought a Commodore 335 replica and the seller claims it was made by Mat. The basis for this, as I understand, it is that the Commodore is very similar to the Aria TA 335's of the period. I'm in no doubt that this is a period piece but was it made by Mat and for who?

What i´m talking of here isn´t refinishing(ie-i dont add anything) but coloursanding with the following polishing with a buffer.

I´m however curious of how others regard that.

I for one...i happen to like my guitars to look the best they can.

If a guitar carries a ding or two, that´s one thing and those should IMO stay as part of the instruments history.

The bassist in question was a guy by the (stage?) name of Stuart Morrow and he was the original bass player for English, Cromwellian rockers, "New Model ...

Is this true?.... should I have not been outbidded?.....

Hey everybody, I'm new to the world of Westone guitars, but from what I've heard and seen, they look really cool! I've been looking online to see if I could find any cool ones, and found a Dynasty with the original case. There is no picture or description, but they wanted $260+shipping, so probably around $300 bucks, I have no Idea what a good price for these are, so I could really use some help as to if its a good guitar at a good price, or if I should save my money for something else. ...

My old X390CB

I always loved this guitar and for over twenty years I've watched friends and aquentances ignore it since it didn't say "Fender" or "Gibson". I'm pleased to see this forum for such a fine guitar. Does anyone have any idea how many of the ninety six X390's made were CBs?
